Dr. Noelle Aikman was born in Kingston, Jamaica and is a graduate of Brooklyn College in NY. She obtained her medical degree at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway NJ. Dr. Aikman completed her Ob-Gyn Residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and remained in the area to build her career. She has recently been appointed Interim Chair of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.

Dr. Aikman has built a successful private practice and treats her patients like they are a family member. Whether completing a surgery in the operating room or delivering a baby on labor and delivery, she treats all her patients like a VIP.

Dr. Aikman has served as the Residency Program Director since 2016. She was recently interviewed and highlighted by the Greater New York Hospital Association in their series entitled Behind the White Coat. They highlighted her role as the program director and her approach to engage and educate the residents.

Dr. Aikman is an active member of the American College of Gynecology and Obstetrics (ACOG) and is board certified. Outside of work, Dr. Aikman loves to spend time in New York City, as well as warm and sunny Florida.

Dr. Calderon's love of medicine started long before she entered medical school. As an undergrad she completed a BS in nursing then started her career as a critical care nurse. Once graduating New York College of Osteopathic Medicine her post graduate training brought her to Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, and finally to the prestigious Cleveland Clinic for a specialized fellowship in Adult Congenital Cardiology.

As one of fewer than 300 doctors in the country with this advanced training she has served the adult congenital heart population of New Jersey for more than 20 years.

She joined the staff of Jersey Shore University Medical Center in 2011. In 2012 she was appointed Chief of Cardiology. Dr. Calderon is an accomplished clinician, teacher, researcher, patient advocate, and community lecturer. She is a founding member of the Medical Advisory Board of the Adult Congenital Heart Association and the International Society of Adults with Congenital Heart Disease.

She has also been recognized with awards for teaching, leadership, and community service most recently being the AHA NJ Heartsavers award and The NJ Hospital Associations Community Outreach award for spearheading the"Community of Lifesavers" initiative which has taught more than 10,000 graduating high school students CPR and the use of a defibrillator, and has gotten state legislation passed making this training a requirement. She is a career long champion for women's health and an active member of the American Heart Association's "Go Red" speakers bureau.

This fall Jersey Shore welcomed its first Jane Booker Cardiology Fellows. The program was designed by and now directed by Dr. Calderon, in keeping with the goal of teaching tomorrow's doctors.

Adam C. Kaplan MD, FACP

Dr. Adam Kaplan was born and raised in Keyport, New Jersey. He received his undergraduate degree from Rowan University and his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, graduating with high honors. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center where he was selected as Chief Resident. Dr. Kaplan stayed true to his roots and is currently a Board certified physician practicing Internal Medicine at Jersey Shore University Medical Center; Dr. Kaplan also serves as full time faculty in the Internal Medicine Residency program.

Since graduating from residency, Dr. Kaplan has stayed active in the academic arena of medicine in both clinical and research roles. Dr. Kaplan is the attending of record for residents, on a regular basis, and takes pride in focusing on, not only, evidence based care but also on teaching physicians humility with a bedside approach. He is the lead faculty for the resident driven, quality improvement initiative and is currently overseeing 9 projects by the 1st and 2nd year residents.

Dr. Kaplan is an active member of the ACP, achieving Fellow status in 2017, and is involved at local and national meetings. Past activities included Leadership Day, where important healthcare initiatives where discussed in Washington, DC, as a judge at the NJ regional meeting, as well as an appointment to the Early Career Physician Council.

Dr. Kaplan believes that in order to excel at medicine you must enjoy it and while medicine should be a priority in your life, it should not encompass it. To encourage a more balanced life, Dr. Kaplan is an aspiring photographer and enjoys submitting his photos to the Hackensack Meridian Health Photography expo each year. He also keeps a focus on a healthy lifestyle that includes running, biking, and swimming (triathlons). The most rewarding of all is his family, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son.

Ramon Solhkhah, MD

Ramon Solhkhah, MD, is the current Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. He is an attending psychiatrist of all five hospitals in the Meridian Health System and is also the Corporate Medical Director of Meridian Behavioral Health Services. He is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. Additionally, he maintains a private psychiatry practice in New York, NY and Neptune, NJ.

Dr. Solhkhah received his undergraduate degree from University of Nevada-Reno in Reno, NV, and his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. After spending two years as a general surgery resident in the Bronx, NY area, Dr. Solhkhah changed his focus to psychiatry and completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry residency at Harvard Medical School. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Solhkhah returned to New York, where he completed a fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at New York University.

Dr. Solhkhah is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and other professional organizations. He has been an ad hoc reviewer of several medical journals such as The American Journal of Addiction and Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology. He has participated in numerous clinical trials in the field of psychiatry and has authored many journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts. He has presented his work at nationally recognized congresses. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and is board eligible in Psychosomatic Medicine.
