Keith Rigsby, MD

Keith Rigsby, MD

Keith Rigsby, MD is a graduate of Jackson State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1998. Dr Rigsby went on to medical school at the University of Tennessee Health and Science Center where I received my Doctorate of Medicine in 2003. It was during this time that I began to see the importance of being an independent practitioner. Focusing on Internal Medicine as my specialty after medical school and completing my residency at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in 2006.

Upon completion of my residency I joined the Dallas Hospitalist group of Methodist Dallas Medical Center and was also select to join the teaching staff. Shortly thereafter I was elected by the Graduate Medical Education Committee to become an Attending Physician.  It was from this experience I was asked start the Hospitalist program at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center.

One year later the Hospitalist program was up running successfully, I left Methodist Mansfield to pursue my career as an independent physician.  Working as Locum Tenem at Navarro Regional Hospital it was there that I was presented with the opportunity to become the Medical Director of Hospitalist Services at Ennis Regional Medical Center in 2008.   As Medical Director in Ennis I began to see the need for more outpatient care in the southern sectors of Dallas-Fort Worth area and so I established an Internal Medicine clinic in Ennis.

Throughout the years I have worked with various hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, and home healthcare agencies all in an effort to improve post-acute care, patient transfers, and advance the discharge process.  Still working on ways to improve the outpatient process, I joined two other physicians in opening the Urgent Plus Care Center of Ennis in 2013.

I went on later to establish the VIP Healthcare clinic of Ennis in 2014 which has been great source of medical assistance to the community.  VIP has improved access to healthcare by caring for the elderly and providing the appropriate level of care on an outpatient basis.

Julia Worrall RN, CCRN, SANE

Julia Worrall RN, CCRN, SANE
Executive Director, FACE Julia Worrall is a Registered Nurse, Executive Director of FACE ™ - The Foundation for Airway and Craniofacial Excellence and Co-Founder of Correct Sleep.

Decades of experience ranging from acute psychiatry to critical care, led her to California for several years, where she was instrumental in creating a cultural shift within a historically challenging environment. Charged with implementing federally mandated medical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes, she created collaborative lesson plans and 'hands-on' drills to teach correctional officers, doctors, dentists, psychiatry and nursing staff, protocols for reacting to riots and emergencies in addition to the ongoing management of chronic health conditions.

However, it was as a patient in 2015 that she had her most eye-opening experience. Julia was introduced to a dental provider that was able to successfully treat her intractable migraines and sleep issues. This chance meeting opened up a whole new world! Applying herself to taking sleep and craniofacial courses along with her insatiable appetite for research led to the discovery that sleep is so much more than just 'closing one's eyes', and that treatment for migraines and movement disorders is well within reach. Realizing that this information is sorely lacking in all areas of healthcare as well as in the general population, she created an organization called FACE™.

Julia is a published author and member of many professional bodies. She lectures internationally and is an expert in applying sleep and craniofacial assessments in a nursing environment. She is honoured to sit on the Advisory Board for the Foundation for Airway Health, ALF InterFACE Academy and to be a faculty member of the Indian Society for Sleep Research.

Carrie Ibbetson, RDH

Carrie Ibbetson, RDH began her career 23 years ago, as a dental assistant. Her early years chairside opened her eyes to what exceptional dentistry could look like and afforded her time to see the disconnect between what people were being "told to do for oral health", vs. what they were motivated to do or implement at home.

Prior to hygiene school she already knew that she wanted to coach patients and in 2011 her passion to touch the consumer market became a reality when she started building websites centered around oral health.

Since then she has focused primarily on the non-clinical aspect of her career in marketing, sales, clinical mentoring, podcasting, video producing, speaking, clinical educating, blogging and oral health coaching. She is a KOL for dental companies, and likes to stay immersed in what the progressive dental world has to offer.

Alexandra Porfir, DDS

Dr. Alexandra Porfir, Co-Founder of Correct Sleep, earned her DDS degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy College of Dentistry in Timisora, Romania in 2001, marking the beginning of a long illustrious orthodontics/craniofacial medical education. In 2002, Alex relocated to Chicago where she earned a Master's of Science degree in Oral Sciences (2003) and a PhD in BioEngineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago (2006). She earned her Orthodontic Certificate from the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas Texas (2008), with clinical and surgical training in the correction of craniofacial deformities and malocclusions (misaligned teeth).

Alex served as a graduate research assistant under the guidance and tutelage of Drs. Carla Evans DDS, DMSc, Liu Hong MD, PhD, and Jeremy Mao, DDS, PhD at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the Departments of Orthodontics and Bioengineering, as well as with Dr. Carmen Colojoara DDS, PhD in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation in Romania.

In 2014, she completed a year-long residency at the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, where she became interested in the rehabilitation rights of all humans facing the debilitating effects of sleep deprivation caused by respiratory, skeletal, and dental disorders. She is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and its Foundation association, and a fellow in the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIMH), "an interprofessional association of integrative clinicians who embrace a person-centered, team-based approach to health care."

Alex is a prolific researcher and writer, authoring a nearly three dozen abstracts, presentations, and articles on skeletal and craniofacial topics; from cellular and anabolic responses to sutures and high-frequency tensile and compressive forces, to magnetic resonance microscopy, and adipose tissue engineering by human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). In addition, she has authored the books, Oral Rehabilitation and Dental Emergencies: Patients with medical risk in dental practice (2001), and The Patient's Oral Rehabilitation: The basic principles in investigation, diagnosis and treatment methods (2000), both published by C.Colojoara, M. Miron (LITO-UMFT), in Romania.

Since 2010, Alex has been a full-time practitioner focusing on traditional orthodontics and craniofacial deformities, as well as the assessment and management of sleep breathing disorders in children and adults. Her specialty is the focus on the growth and development of the craniofacial skeleton, upper airway passages, and the neuro-emotional behavior arising from the maladies to these systems.

She has earned numerous grants, scholarships, and awards for her work in orthodontics, research, and for her scientific and academic excellence. Her volunteer activities while based in Romania include dental screening, prevention and promotion of oral health for orphans and underprivileged districts, as well as the promotion of dental-care education for expectant mothers.

Ports of Call

Los Angeles, California - Los Angeles is a relatively young city, barely over a century old. This 467-square-mile desert basin is not only the center of the world's film industry; it also plays a major role in television, fashion, music and art. No wonder some of the world's most famous individuals choose L.A. as their home. The sunsets over the Pacific are nothing less than spectacular, and there are 72 miles of incredible oceanfront beaches from which to enjoy them.

At Sea - Cruising - Cruising

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Puerto Vallarta has all the amenities of a classic beach resort ‐ surf, sand and sun‐ but it also offers so much more. Perfect for honeymooners, families and seniors alike, Puerto Vallarta offers sport fishing, golfing, horseback riding, hiking and whale watching. Boasting mountains, jungles, beaches, rivers, and waterfalls, this port is completely different from any other destination in Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is a modern destination that remains loyal to its traditional Mexican roots. And that's just scratching the surface.

Mazatlan, Mexico - If you're ready to experience some of the finest sailing and sport fishing available, then you're ready for Mazatlan. This is an exquisite seaside resort by anyone's standards. Of course, you don't have to partake in world-class water sports to enjoy Mazatlan. You can relax on one of its soft-sand beaches caressed by trade winds that are even softer. Or shop for silver jewelry and Mexican crafts in the shops of "The Golden Zone", where you can also celebrate your purchases at one of the area's lively cantinas.

Cabo San Lucas - Championship golf courses, world-class deep sea fishing and incredible diving opportunities have transformed Cabo San Lucas, a once sleepy fishing town located on the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, into one of the most popular resort destinations in Mexico. Rolling sand dunes and hidden coves dot a countryside ringed by some of the most famous and often-photographed rock formations in the world.
