Ports of Call

Copenhagen, Denmark - Your incredible journey begins and ends in Copenhagen, giving you the perfect excuse to linger a little longer in Denmark's captivating capital. Before you set sail or after you return, immerse yourself in a city that is at once sophisticated, friendly, and full of fairytale charm. Stroll through the enchanting Tivoli Gardens, where whimsical rides and sparkling lights create a magical atmosphere day and night. Wander along the iconic Nyhavn harbor, famous for its colorful gabled houses where Hans Christian Andersen once lived, and be sure to greet the famous Little Mermaid statue, the enduring symbol of this light-hearted city. With royal palaces to explore and world-class design to discover, you'll be glad you saved extra time to soak it all in.

At Sea - Cruising - Cruising

Hellesylt, Norway - Tucked within the legendary Geirangerfjord, the quiet village of Hellesylt offers a profound sense of nature's scale. The setting is nothing short of grand, with the constant sound of waterfalls tumbling past charming houses, and steep, emerald cliffs rising dramatically on all sides. For many, this tranquil port is the start of an awe-inspiring adventure: the famous overland route to Geiranger. This dramatic drive navigates a stunning panorama of mountain tunnels, reflective alpine lakes, and vast, sweeping valleys. Hellesylt is a powerful and unforgettable introduction to the wild, pristine beauty that defines Norway.

Alesund, Norway - The picturesque Art Nouveau town of Älesund has a beautiful setting across several islands stretching out into the sea, and is situated at the very entrance to the world heritage listed Geirangerfjord. The town is also an excellent starting point for round trips to some of Norway's most popular tourist attractions. Ålesund is internationally renowned for its unique architecture in the Art Nouveau style. The town was devastated by fire a winter's night in 1904, laying 850 houses in ashes and leaving 10.000 people homeless. During a remarkably short period of time, the new Ålesund was rebuilt in the unique architectural style, especially significant from 1890-1910, with a myriad of turrets, spires and medieval ornaments. The Art Nouveau Centre portrays the town's unique position in Norwegian architectural history.

Flam, Norway - Arriving in Flam feels like stepping into a fairy tale. Home to only 350 inhabitants, the village is situated at the inner end of the Aurlandsfjorden, the world's deepest fjord reaching a staggering 1,308 meters. From the harbor, take a brief stroll to the Flam Railway and take the 20-kilometer ride through the Myrdal Mountains and along the fjord. Head to Otternes Farm Village, made up of 27 different buildings that date back to the 17th century. Then, let the waterfall at Stalheimsfossen take your breath away, or drive to Stegastein viewpoint to take in the beauty of the fjord.

Kiel, Germany - Welcome to Kiel, Germany’s vibrant maritime heart, where the city’s pulse is tied to the rhythm of the Baltic Sea. This bustling port, famous for its world-renowned "Kiel Week" sailing event, invites you to explore a rich naval history firsthand. Journey to the nearby seaside town of Laboe to stand beneath the towering Naval Memorial and then step inside the U-995, a historic World War II submarine that offers a fascinating glimpse into life beneath the waves. Stroll the city’s long waterfront promenade to watch sailboats and massive ferries glide by, or witness the impressive engineering of the Kiel Canal, the world’s busiest artificial waterway. Kiel offers an authentic and captivating look at Germany’s powerful connection to the sea.
