While it serves as your point of embarkation, to treat it as a mere starting line would be to miss the very soul of modern Iceland. We strongly encourage you to arrive one or two days early, allowing you to acclimate, unwind, and immerse yourself in a culture that is as warm and dynamic as the geothermal springs bubbling beneath its surface.

Iceland's capital and largest city is located on the country's southwest coast at the head of Faxafloi Bay. Settled in 877 AD, Reykjavik has grown into an important seaport and center of government and education with theatres, museums and observatories. Upon landing at Keflavik International Airport (KEF), your introduction to Iceland's otherworldly landscape begins. The 45-minute drive to Reykjavik takes you through vast, moss-covered lava fields that feel like another planet.
